On June 11th, 2008 Chapman, KS was struck by an F3 tornado that destroyed the Elementary, Middle and High Schools. It also destroyed many homes and two churches in the community.  The Chapman Tornado Relief 5K has been set up to raise money for the residents of Chapman. The event date is set for Monday, September 1, LaborDay.
